In last week’s Home Buyers and Sellers Shouldn’t Be Spectators blog I cited an article from Dian Hymer, who shared some very intuitive and practical advice

for those looking to buy or sell a home. As I was reading through various real estate blogs today, I was saddened to learn of Hymer’s current health condition. Hymer, who is an Inman News writer, real estate author and Coldwell Banker broker, is suffering from cancer and desperately needs a bone morrow transplant. Brad Inman posted on his site that an initial run of the National Marrow Donor Program registry showed no matches for Hymer.

You may be a match. Registering for the program is simple: go to Marrow.org. Let’s kick off the new year by giving back to those who need our help the most.

Hymer is author of “House Hunting, The Take-Along Guide for Home Buyers, “Starting Out, the Complete Home Buyer’s Guide,” and “Buying and Selling a Home in California, A Complete Guide.”

Her nationally syndicated real estate advice column, House Hunting, appears in the Oakland Tribune, Hills Newspapers (Montclarion, Piedmonter, Berkeley Voice) and other major metropolitan papers such as the Los Angeles Times, Houston Chronicle, the Chicago Sun Times and the Arizona Republic, and online at Inman.com and MSN.com.
